Well tomorrow night a few of us are headed to the Flying Saucer for some beers, then to the House of Blues Houston to see Our Lady Peace play some tunes.

Late Night At The Office

without comments

Well last night was strange. I left the office at 6:20, which was pretty late for me (I usually leave about 4:00). After driving home in traffic, and getting home close to 7:00 it was time to relax. Around 8:20, Phil gives me a call about an emergency at the office, so I head back in.

Can’t really explain what the emergency was, but needless to say at 5:30 AM it was time to go home. That didn’t last too long, because I found myself going back in a little after 8:00 AM and staying until 6:00 PM.
I guess the moral of the story is even though I should complain about the incident, but working is better than not working . . . so I will take it and be thankful about it.

Coaches

without comments

So I find myself at Coaches having some Ziegenbock (the Shiner is warm) and updating my blog. Tomorrow is the release of Windows 7, so I am sure to be busy the rest of the week, but I look forward to vacation in Pensacola next week. Too bad the rain is in the forecast though :(

The pic is Jaclyn the too happy bartender.

Joey Is Dead :(

without comments

So I had to bury Joey last night. He passed away from old age, or the tumor on his back. Not sure but he stank. He has joined the other three bodies in the back yard, two of them animals. Here is a pic of the last time I saw him.

Your Domain With Google Apps (PART 4 – Setting Up A Blog)

without comments

The easiest way to do this is going with blogger. Now that you have your own Domain, you can go through and setup a blog. You should have an email address now with your Domain. The email that I setup through my examples was david@segudavr.com. This is the administrative email that I used for my new Domain.

So going into Blogger, you need to create a new account. Use your Domain’s primary email contact as the email you use to signin to Blogger. Create your new account, then go to Settings > Publishing and choose “Your Domain“. Don’t forget to add the “www” in the front. So for my Domain, I added (http://)www.segudavr.com. The “http://” was already there, so don’t worry about that. Put a check in the “Redirect” check box and you are good to go.
Once that is setup, you will need to edit some DNS settings again. Go back to GoDaddy and get to your Domain Management. You will need to create some “A (Host) Records“. Add the following “Points To” to get this working (Host needs to be @ and TTL should be 1/2 Hour initially. Change this to 1 Hour after everything is working):
  • 216.239.32.21
  • 216.239.34.21
  • 216.239.36.21
  • 216.239.38.21

If you have any other “A (Host) Records“, go ahead and delete them.

Once the Blog Domain redirect is complete, your Blog from Blogger.com is live. Go ahead and start Blogging!
